To Nature; To Chaos

Surrender

to cease resistance

Some things are far beyond your control.
Nature, for one.

It seems to have a hand in it all.
Chaos ensues when you are somewhere you do not belong.

Have you not noticed this?

Nature throws you into disarray, screaming at you to leave.
To move.
To understand that where you are is not where you’re meant to be.

Is that not comforting?

The pain of life is not punishment — it’s a signal.
An indictment that this is not where it ends.
Nature spins to make you move.

And the storm only grows the longer you stay still.

It has never been otherwise.

To either go with the current or fight against it.
To flow is to accept that life is always right.
To accept nature’s lead.

For your hands are nothing against the wind.
So why do you keep trying?

What if the tornado comes not to destroy you,
but to move you?

That may be so.
And that may be worth understanding.

There is a hand propelling you forward —
sometimes, it just takes a stronger gust.

There is no point in shaking your fist at nature.
But perhaps, instead, you can take its hand.
Let it lead you.
Learn to dance with it.

To dance with life.

That may be the best way forward.
It may be the only sane way.

You cannot control the wind.
But why would you want to?
